Wine and dine at our local eateries: Whether you’re in a relationship or flying solo this V-Day, the Blue Moon Tavern in Barnesville has you covered. Stop in on February 14th to enjoy cocktail specials and vibes with DJ Ruckus.

Another tasty suggestion for a romantic dinner is Audrey’s Avenue in downtown St. Clairsville. Choose from their specialty menu, which includes a starter, entree such as prime rib or bow tie primavera, and a decadent slice of chocolate or cheesecake for dessert. Don’t forget the drinks! Audrey’s is offering a unique February menu, so you can pair your meal with the chocolate strawberry martini or a sweetheart margarita.

Dine in style with an elegant dinner and live music at Main Street Barrel House in Barnesville. For $25 per person or $45 per couple, enjoy a parm garlic chicken or lasagna dinner and a glass of champagne for each while you listen to romantic tunes by the Sarah Hayes Band. Reservations can be made by calling the restaurant.

For a more budget-friendly experience, head to Mehlman’s cafeteria, where they will be hosting a candlelit dinner where you can order prime rib with two hot sides for just $22.95.

After dinner, raise a toast to love at Vino di Piccin! Stop by for a glass (or two) from 3 pm – 10 pm on Valentine’s Day, and listen to the live tunes of Robert Gaudio, who will be kicking off this year’s entertainment series at the tasting house.

Looking for a fun activity to enjoy together? We’ve got that too! Bring your sweetheart to enjoy a day of local shopping and sweets before the big day on Saturday, February 7th, in downtown St. Clairsville. Go from business to business along Main Street and enjoy complimentary treats while learning about exciting offerings from local vendors and businesses in the heart of town. Participants will each be given a map of participating businesses; get them stamped at all locations for the chance to win a cash prize. Oh, and to make it even sweeter, this event is completely free.

On Valentine’s Day, get your dancing shoes on for a Valentine’s Polka Dance at the Homestead Event Center! The Polkaholics will be on-site playing live from 7:00 – 10:00 pm, and there will be a cash bar and concessions available.

All ages can share the love at the Lovey Dubby Blacklight party at the St. Clairsville Rec Center. From 5-10 pm on February 14th, enjoy DJ sets, live painters with UV art installations, and body painting. Admission is free, and the event is focused on raising awareness for the National Alliance on Mental Health.

Get creative with a Paint Your Partner Event at Graciously Abby’s Art Emporium on February 12th from 6-8 pm. Bring snacks and drinks, and get ready to make your partner laugh or impress them with your artistic skills. Make sure to register in advance, as seats for this event are limited. The cost is $50 per pair.

It’s not Valentine’s Day without chocolates! Sweets by Sarah in St. Clairsville has rolled out a special Valentine’s Day gift menu. Treat your loved one (or yourself) to a heart-shaped box containing chocolate-covered strawberries, cookies, brownies, or a combination. Orders must be in by February 10th and must be picked up on February 13th and 14th.

The Fat Apple has everything you need to sweeten up this holiday and make your partner smile. From heart-shaped boxes containing the classic chocolate strawberries, themed sugar cookies, strawberry pies, and cakes, to chocolate-covered anything, you can find the perfect sweet gift to match anyone’s taste.
