2020 off to a busy start for Belmont County Tourism

Updated: Mar 2

The Belmont County Tourism Council staff has been busy already this year marketing all that the county has to offer visitors and residents.

The staff marketed Belmont County, with an emphasis on our three recreational campgrounds and our outdoor recreation, at the Pittsburgh RV Show, January 11-19. BCTC partnered with the Greater Moundsville CVB to market the region as an attractive place to play and stay. Watch this highlight video at

We will also be sharing space with Moundsville and Visit Wheeling/Ohio County at the Great Big Home and Garden Show in Cleveland January 31-February 9. This is the first time that Belmont County Tourism has participated in these shows, and our partnership with these CVBs highlights the importance of working across state borders to attract new visitors to the Ohio Valley.

Belmont County will again be an exhibitor at the AAA Great Vacations Travel Expo February 7-9 at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus. This 12th annual expo "will feature more than 150 exhibits, events, attractions and appearances, all aimed at helping travelers escape the doldrums of winter and plan their next getaway".

Belmont County Tourism Director Barb Ballint presented the 2019 quarterly report (Oct.-Dec.) and a year in review video created by Digital Marketing Manager Brooke Robinson to the Belmont County Commissioners on January 22. Ballint recapped the tourism office's efforts in 2019 and provided information about 2020 events. Go to to see the 2020 Calendar of Events.
