Barton Polka Dance Sept. 22
Due to the success and popularity of this year's Barton Polka Fest in August a Polka Dance will be held at the Barton Fireman's Field (52176 Center St.) from 2-6 pm on September 22nd. Gates open at 1 p.m. Admission is $8 (18 & under are free) and there will be plenty of Polish food, a cash bar, and raffles. The event is sponsored by the Barton Volunteer Fire Department.
Come on out and Polka with Ray Jay and the Carousels. The band, from Pittsburgh, Pennslyvania, have been performing since 1971 countless times for many polka gatherings, including many major polka festivals and conventions throughout the United States. The bands founder, Raymond Jarusinski, has received awards from the Pennsylvania Polka Association, The Polish Ambassadors, The Polish Crusaders and the Polka Power Club of Western Pennsylvania. He has performed on 14 polka cruises including cruises with the Jimmy Sturr Orchestra and Happy Louie & Julcia.
