Blame My Roots announces lineup
It was officially announced on October 1st that the Blame My Roots Fest will return July 16-18, 2020 to Valley View Campground in Belmont, Ohio. The 2019 outdoor country music festival featured 28 acts on three stages over three days. With only a few months of planning (following the announcement that Jamboree In The Hills would be on hiatus for 2019), the event was very well-received by concert goers and performers.
When announcing that BMRF would return to once again fill the hills of Belmont County with country music, event organizers promised that 2020's concert would continue to offer a blend of seasoned artists and up-and-comers.
The first lineup announcement was made November 7. Fans were beyond excited to learn that Neal McCoy would be returning to Belmont County as the Friday night closing act of Blame My Roots. McCoy holds the record for the most Jamboree In The Hills performances.
On November 21, six more acts were announced. They include: Saturday headliner Justin Moore, Jo Dee Messina, The Kentucky Headhunters, southern rock band Black Stone Cherry, the BMRF return of Whey Jennings (grandson of Waylon Jennings), and Allie Colleen (daughter of country music legends Garth Brooks). The name of the festival comes from lyrics of a Garth Brooks song and last year's concert also included performers with strong family, country "roots". More lineup announcements will be forthcoming.
