St. Patrick's Day events on tap in Belmont County this weekend

From Bellaire to Barnesville, Belmont County has a strong Irish heritage, so it's no surprise that there are plenty of fun things to do to celebrate St. Patty's Day. There's also a new festival planned for this May. The Bellaire Irish Festival is being planned for May 22-24 as a heritage festival to highlight the history of Irish immigrants in the area. More details about this new event will be forthcoming.
In the meantime, even if you aren't Irish you can enjoy one of these events!
Thursday, March 12 from 7-11 p.m. - 3rd Annual St. Patrick's Day Karaoke Party at The Pike 40 (41010 National Rd.). They will have drink and food specials as well as a contest for best dressed male and female. For more information visit https://www.facebook.com/events/1352258811641996/
March 13th - Main Street Barrel House in Barnesville (137 E. Main St.) is hosting local artist Matt VanFossen from 8-11 p.m.Matt VanFossen grew up in a small northern West Virginia panhandle town with one dream in mind — to become an entertaining country music artist like his idol Reba McEntire. At a young age, VanFossen would belt songs in the living room while singing radio hits of the 1990s. VanFossen has opened for the likes of Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw and more. CANCELLED March 14th - Celebrating St. Patrick's Day at the Winery, Vino Di Piccin Winery & Tasting House (55155 National Rd., Lansing). Celebrate the luck of the Irish on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Vino di Piccin and Lansing Carryout are hosting two separate St. Patrick's Day celebrations, side by side. Get food, wine and wine slushies at Vino di Piccin and get ice cold beer and spirits and the best wings around at the Lansing Carryout. March 14 - It doesn't get more Irish than Flanagan's Sports Cafe in Bellaire (3163 Belmont St.) They are hosting a Pre-Paddy's Day Party on March 14. Playing at the Front Bar Acoustic Stage will be Jeff Tappe from 1-4 p.m. and Tim Ullom from 6-9 p.m. On the main stage, Old Buddy Jack will perform from 4-6 p.m. and the 1985 Band will perform from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. The back bar will feature an acoustic performance by Junior Guthrie on March 14 from 3-6 p.m. Then stay for The Muddle beginning at 6 p.m.
March 14th - The Glencoe American Legion Post 632 (63630 Main St, Glencoe) is hosting a Saint Patty's Day Party with entertainment by the White Collar Criminals starting at 8 p.m. This event is open to the public.
March 14th - Pocket Change is performing at the Shadyside Legion Post 521 (3809 Central Ave, Shadyside) at 8 p.m.
