Cruise Into Summer in Belmont County With These Car Shows

Summer is car show season here in Belmont County, and we’re kicking off the season with four car shows happening this weekend!

Strawberry Fest Car Show

The annual Strawberry Festival in Martins Ferry is taking place this Saturday, June 7th. Sponsored by Project Forward, the festival takes place from noon until 10 pm along South 4th Street and features contests, vendors, food trucks, and live entertainment. There will also be a car show along the street from noon until 3 pm, hosted by the Martins Ferry Civics. Registration begins at 11 am, and the first 25 registrants will receive dash plaques.

Also coming up on Saturday is the Belmont County Saddle Club‘s annual car show. Hosted at their location along National Road in Belmont, the car show runs from noon until 4 pm. The entry fee is $10 per vehicle, and the first 30 will receive plaques. There will also be a 50/50 drawing and raffles on site.

Even more cars headed our way on Saturday at Shadyside Healthcare and Rehab Center! There will be a car show from noon to 4 pm hosted by the Moundsville Cruisers. The first 50 cars will receive a dash plaque.

Main Street St. Clairsville Car Show

On Sunday, head to Main Street in St. Clairsville for the Cruise-In Car Show! Check out vintage and new cars while you enjoy food and unique shops in the heart of St. Clairsville. There is no fee to register.

The second weekend in June is jam-packed with car shows, too! Make your way to the Raise the Woof Band Bash at the Carnes Center in St. Clairsville beginning at noon for the car, bike, and truck show while being entertained by live local bands all day long. Several prizes will be awarded, such as best of show, roadkill king, and people’s choice. Proceeds from this event will go to Belmont Hoof and Paw for animal care. The event will also feature food trucks, prizes, and a beer garden.

The annual Shadyside Loop Fest is happening on June 13th and 14th. The yearly event celebrates the community with games, inflatables for kids, food, and vendors. On Friday evening, roll into town for the motorcycle show brought to you by Grim Reapers MC. All bikes are welcome for a $10 entry fee. Trophies will go to the top three bikes. On Saturday, June 14th, come back to town for the big car show!

Epworth Park

Every July, Epworth Park hosts the annual Chautauqua Days Homecoming Festival, where visitors can learn history while strolling through the picturesque park lined with Victorian-era cottages. The park comes to life on July 12th and 13th and features vendors, games, cottage tours, home-cooked food, a parade, and always features a car show as part of the festivities. The festival does not charge admission.

For those who don’t have a show-worthy car, truck, or bike, you’re in luck! Golf cart owners can register for the Barnesville Movie Magic Golf Cart Cruise-In happening on July 26th! Enter your golf cart decorated in the theme of your favorite movie for the chance to win a trophy! The fee to enter is $20, and proceeds go to benefit the restoration of the Barnesville State Theater. While there, make sure to check out the hot dog eating contest and listen to live music by the Sam Shuman Band.

Bellaire Business Dash Car Show

Roll on down the river in August for the Bellaire Business Dash Car, Bike, and Truck Show! Happening on August 8th from 4 – 7 pm, this show awards dash plaques to the first 150 registrants and trophies in multiple categories. While you’re there, make sure to check out businesses around town and grab a bite to eat! All proceeds will benefit the Bellaire Business Alliance.

Whether you’re a car enthusiast or just looking for a fun way to spend a summer day, Belmont County’s car shows offer something for everyone. From shiny festivals to community fundraisers, there’s no better place to fuel your summer than at a local car show.
