The Watt Center for History & the Arts is a museum that preserves and displays artifacts illustrating the rich history of the business, industry, and agriculture of Barnesville of surrounding areas. The building originated as the Watt Car & Wheel Co., which was founded in 1863 and manufactured the first patented self-oiling mine wheel car. Inside, visitors can discover six unique vaults, original wood paneling and tin ceilings, and exhibits that preserve the history of our heritage.
